Stories of Engagement

How Gillian has helped schools & educators accomplish amazing things

With over 25 years of experience in the education sector globally, Gillian has achieved some
amazing accomplishments for schools, centres, children and grow-ups a-like.

Bold Park Community School

Gill was the Founding Principal of Bold Park Community School (BPCS) in Perth, Western Australia. BPCS was established to provide an educational choice for the community which would create respectful learning environments for children which embraced the philosophies of Reggio Emilia, Nature Based Education and the Arts. The school grew from an Early Learning centre to provide a unique school culture for children from three years old to eighteen.

Bold Park Community School is an innovative school in Wembley, Western Australia, catering for children aged 18 months to 18 years.

Alam Atelier

Gillian worked closely with the iSmile team for the outdoor and indoor learning environments for their Early Learning Centre in Canguu, Bali. Gill consulted on the design of each of learning space, taking a considered approach to meet the vision of the administration: respectful, collaborative and creative. Alam Atelier opened August 2016.

Alam Atelier was born out of the yearning to extend learning outside the classroom and connect the learner with the natural environment.  The wide outdoor areas invite learners to explore; water play, mud pool, seedbeds, and wood working are some of the features that appeal to the senses and strict curiosity.
